AGEISS won a contract to prepare a programmatic NEPA environmental assessment (EA) for DOE’s Southwestern Power Administration. The new EA will help improve vegetation management practices at facility sites and along transmission line rights-of-way in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri.
AGEISS will develop a three-state biological assessment to support the EA. The EA will evaluate a number of effective vegetation management methods for Southwestern to use based on location, objectives, and field conditions. Improved vegetation management will lower Southwestern’s safety risk by reducing the frequency of O&M in remote areas.
AGEISS has provided NEPA support for nearly two decades to assist DOE in their decision making process.
